Grace Seniors

We offer a wide variety of ministries oriented toward the needs of older adults.

Older Adult Bible Study

This class meets on Tuesdays from 10-11:30 AM at the Ridgeview site and is open to all at any time. The group studies the Holy Bible for insight into the meaning for persons at the time it was written, and for the message these passages carry for us in today’s society. For more information, call the office at (913) 859-0111.

Quilting

If you are a quilter, or want to be a quilter, you are welcome to join the Quilting Group which meets on Monday mornings from 9:15 AM – 1:00 PM at the Ridgeview site. Proceeds from the quilts are donated to a church project.

Silver Set

Silver Set is held quarterly on the second Sunday of the month following the conclusion of Sunday services. This luncheon is provided by the YES Council for persons 65 years and older as a time of fellowship with old friends and making new ones. This delicious buffet luncheon is prepared by volunteers. Entertainment is provided after lunch, and has included musicals, theatrical productions, musicians, and more.

YES Travel Events

Day trips are planned by members of the YES Council to provide opportunities for fellowship and to learn more about history and events in the Midwest. Occasionally overnight trips are planned as well. Costs vary with the trip, but are kept at a not-for-profit basis. Travel to each city occurs in a chartered tour bus for comfort and the trips are always a wonderful experience.
