This Week in 4/13 Worship & Holy Week

Dear Grace Family,

This Sunday begins Holy Week. It will be a full morning at Grace as we celebrate Palm Sunday at all three worship services. The day also includes a reception for Pastor Wes, and egg hunt for our children, a baptism and a commissioning of our Tochi mission team. You can find a Palm Sunday schedule at the bottom of this email.

Holy Week is not just Palm Sunday and Easter. To really experience the joy of the resurrection, we have to walk through the passion story of Jesus. We have worship on Maundy Thursday to remember the last supper and join Jesus at the communion table. On Friday, the choir will lead us in a Tenebrae worship where we experience the crucifixion by going from light to darkness. Both services begin at 7:00 PM and will prepare us for the joy of Easter morning.

It is hard to believe that I am already celebrating my second Easter at Grace. It feels like I just arrived as your pastor and at the same time it feels like this is exactly where I am supposed to be. Holy Week is the most sacred time of the year, and it is an honor and a privilege to share these Holy moments with you.
