This Sunday in 3/30 worship

Dear Grace Family,

During the season of Lent, we have focused on the Lord’s Prayer in worship. I often feel inadequate when it comes to prayer and at the same time I have experienced powerful moments with prayer. The most meaningful moments I have experienced are when I have prayed for someone, or they have prayed for me. I have felt God’s Spirit through the words that another has lifted in prayer, and I am often surprised how God has spoken through my own words.

Prayers comes in many forms, and they do not always include words. We have a group at Grace that is committed to wrapping people in prayer. They create prayer blankets that can be delivered to anyone that may be going through a challenging season. This Sunday we will bless the prayer blankets in traditional worship. The blanket will be passed through the congregation during worship where you can add your own prayer to the blessing. After worship the blankets will be collected and distributed to people over the next few months.

If you know someone in need of a prayer blanket, please contact any of the pastors at Grace. We would be delighted to get you one. If you would like to be part of the prayer blanket team, contact Elizabeth Easley at 816-805-9617. I promise you will be blessed through the ministry of prayer.

See you in worship!
