Sunday Morning Groups

Adult Sunday School Ministries

Grace Group members meet for about an hour Sunday mornings. We have a variety of groups, with something for everyone.

Sign up for any of these Sunday morning groups (Adult Sunday School) here.

New Beginnings

10am – Room 123A (downstairs)

New Beginnings uses a fresh and engaging weekly curriculum named The Wired Word. Each Sunday we explore and discuss a different lesson topic drawn from news events currently happening. We examine how the Bible has meaning for events happening today, and how we can make a real difference in our own lives and the lives of others. Most folks in this class are in their 60’s and 70’s, but everyone is most welcome to attend! If you want to explore the modern world via a Christian perspective and how it relates to you, AND you want to laugh, cry, and have a good time, then the New Beginnings Class is just what you are looking for!!!! Sam Bartee

Steps of Faith

10:15am – Room 201 (glass classroom)

Steps of Faith is a Sunday small group committed to recognizing and enriching the presence of Jesus Christ in our daily lives through study, discussion and encouragement of scripture related topics. This group uses a variety of books, videos, and other resources, and meetings are led by class members. In addition to Sunday mornings, our group engages in social, mission, and community related activities throughout the year. Steps of Faith welcomes adults of all ages Kathie Pelan

Go With Grace

9am – Room 217

This group (20’s to 40’s; singles, couples and families with kids at home) studies weekly devotionals from various sources to focus on growing their faith and sharing God’s grace outside the walls of the church. If you’re looking for a group to grow in your faith and feel supported in life’s ups and downs, this is your place. Josh Lewis

Lost and Found

9am – Room 201 (glass classroom)

Members of Lost and Found explore the meaning and impact of their faith for current life issues using a variety of short-term studies, usually books, lasting 6-8 weeks. Most people are in their 30’s & 40’s, but anyone is welcome to attend. Amanda Embree:

Ted Talks

9:10 am – Room 315

This gathering of adults (singles and couples, most empty nesters) ranges in age from their 50s to their 70s. With an average attendance of about 15 (with plenty of room for more!), we use TED Talks and other videos to frame discussions that help deepen our faith and develop community. Interweaving diverse live experience, the class members seek to find common ground, compassion, empathy and kindness in a world where those all seem in short supply. Bring your good humor and your thinking cap. On the last Sunday of the month, the group has lunch or another social activity. Join us! Tom McCormally

Christian Gathering

9:15am – Room 204 (chapel)

This group uses the United Methodist Adult Bible Studies series to enjoy studying the people, places and events of the Bible to help bring the perspective of Christian faith into our daily lives. We help and care for each other, and can share our joys, our concerns, our wisdom, and love for one another in Christian fellowship. We gather for laughter, food and fellowship events at times during the year. Our regular attendance is generally around 15, with ages ranging from 60’s to 80’s and beyond. We are always open to new members, and anyone is most welcome to attend! Carolyn Doherty
