Registration is now open for this event! Grace UMC will pay for all Grace attendees. Please email Caren Loper at saying you wish to attend and include the following information in your email: first and last name, email address, cell phone number, if you have allergies or special food requirements. The deadline for registration is August 30, 2024.
With costs going up so much, there is a HUGE need for backpacks and school supplies for Olathe children this year. At the Center of Grace, school supplies are provided for the children that attend the Boys and Girls Club program and to children that are on the free or reduced lunch program. The first day of school is exciting – especially with a new backpack full of supplies. Each backpack with supplies costs approximately $25. Visit the backpack table in the Narthex for supply lists by grade level, or give a monetary donation in the offering plate, the office or on line at https://pushpay.com/g/graceumcolathe “backpacks/school supplies”. Backpacks or supplies may be left at the Narthex table or in the office. Thank you for helping Olathe children and youth head into another successful school year!
Women’s Connection Walking Group will meet Tuesday, July 9 and Tuesday, July 23 at 9 AM at the walking trail behind Olathe Community Center. Park in the parking lot on the east side of the center. The walking group will meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month. All are welcome. Any questions, call Kathy Kochersperger 913-424-2202.
The Women’s Connection Day Crafting Group will meet Wednesday, July 10, 10-1, in the Glass Classroom by Entrance 1. Bring your own craft project and supplies and a lunch if you want. This group will meet monthly the 2nd Wednesday. If doors are locked you will need to enter by the office. Any questions contact Julie Joyce 913-424-7391. In August we will have a Prayer Quilt Crochet Session, along with the craft group. This will be Wednesday, August 14, from 10-1. Learn to crochet or share your skill. Women’s Connection Lunch Bunch will meet Thursday, July 18, 11:30 at Johnnie’s 10384 S Ridgeview Rd, Olathe. This is a monthly lunch meeting on the 3rd Thursday of the month. We will be celebrating “Dog Days of Summer”. Heard a rumor there will be Bingo and ice cream. Come order a lunch and join the fun. Any questions contact Shawna Davidson, 913-908-7634.
VBS Registration Deadline is July 8th! Register Today for Vacation Bible School – “Start the Party!”
Let’s Start the Party! Jesus gives us the most amazing reasons to party: friendship, belonging, forgiveness, abundant life and purpose! Join us for Vacation Bible School this summer as we learn about and celebrate the good news of Jesus! VBS is for kids who have completed Pre-K through 5th grade (2023/2024). Join us for a party each night July 15-18, 6:00 – 8:30 pm. Registration is $35/child. Contact Stacy Guerrero with any questions.

Start the Party VBS: Donation Help!As part of Start the Party VBS and Serving Our Savior (SOS) preteen service camp, kids will be creating birthday party kits to donate to children and families served by KVC Kansas. We would like to provide them enough kits to hand out to as many families as possible. A $10-$15 donation will buy all the supplies needed for a birthday party including plates, napkins, plasticware, party favors and decorations.
