Will will have a Mission Trip Orientation meeting on Tuesday, February 11th at 6:30pm in Grace Gathering Room. This is an opportunity to come learn about our trips, ask questions, get any needed paperwork and engage with other students and adults.
Dates for the mission trips have been set, as well as locations! This year, in all our locations (KC/Omaha/Chicago) we will have a blend of work sites. Students will be able to rotate through a variety of different service options. While these specifics haven’t been set yet, we can expect sites to be anything from food pantries (like Harvesters) to serving the homeless and hungry a meal (like NourishKC), doing manual labor (like Habitat for Humanity), engaging with the elderly and helping a local church do children’s studies and care. I think it is important for students to be exposed to a wide variety of service opportunities and find one they love!
Each trip has adult leaders and students will be participating in work sites ranging from serving the homeless, to leading children at day-cares and engaging in manual labor! Registration for each trip is live and can be found here.
Registration Deadline is February 29th.
