Peace Academy Returns!
Peace Academy equips children and students to be peacemakers in their homes, community, and world. This session of Peace Academy focuses on the story of the Good Samaritan and other scripture helping us to explore WHO our “neighbor” is and what it means to LOVE ALL of our “neighbors” – regardless of our differences and abilities. The Peace Academy curriculum is taught during normal Sunday Morning children’s and youth classes and no registration is necessary. Parents and other adults are encouraged to participate in an adult Peace Academy Life Group at 9:15 Sunday mornings led by Shawn Foreman. Contact Stacy Guerrero with any questions.
Children and youth (K-12th grade) attending 9:15 Sunday morning programming are automatically part of Peace Academy. Students (grades 6 through 12th) check into the GUMY youth room on the 3rd floor. Kids (Kindergarten – 5th grade) check into one of our computer kiosks outside the coffee shop and then proceed to the following rooms on the 3rd floor: Kindergarten/1st grade- Room 312; 2nd/3rd grade- Room 309 and 4th/5th grade- Room 307. Parents are encouraged to enroll into adult Peace Academy in order for the entire family to be part of this important conversation. Contact Stacy Guerrero with questions.
