Sunday School Classes
On Sunday morning there are four Adult Sunday School classes that meet. These classes meet during the 9:15am worship gathering.
Christian Gathering Class – 9:15am (Room 204)
This class uses “Adult Bible Studies” – a United Methodist Bible study that looks at the people, places & events of the Bible with answers to the questions about life & times of the biblical world. They also gather for fellowship throughout the year. Most people in this class are 60’s & 70’s, but anyone is welcome to attend. Steps of Faith Class – 9:15am (Room 201)
This class uses a variety of short-term studies lasting 6 – 8 weeks. Studies frequently revolve around a faith-based book and include scripture. Between the book studies are Bible study and video studies. Most people in the class are in their 40’s & 50’s, but anyone is welcome. For more information, please email Tracy Hemsath.
New Beginnings Class – 9:15am (Room 123A)
This class uses “Faith Links” to apply their United Methodist beliefs to current faith issues and world events and how we, as Christians, are to respond. Each study has scripture and discussion questions. Most people in this class are in their 60’s & 70’s, but anyone is welcome to attend. For additional information, please email Sam Bartee.
Adult Class – 9:15am (Coffee Shop)
This class uses a variety of short-term studies lasting 6 – 8 weeks. Most people in this class are in their 20’s & 30’s, but anyone is welcome to attend. For more information, please email the church office.
You are invited to come stretch and renew your body and spirit through the age-old, yet ever-new, practice of yoga. Classes meet Thursday from 4:30-5:40 PM and 5:45-6:55 PM in the Youth Room upstairs by the Grace Gathering Room. Both classes focus on alignment, breathing, movement and balance. No yoga experience is necessary. Classes are led by Shelly Rhodes-RYT 200 and Robin Olson-RYT 200. Bring a mat and wear comfy clothes.
Have you been curious about yoga but not sure about all of the up and down from the floor movement or have limited range of motion in hips and knees? Come try Chair Yoga! You will learn a variety of poses to stretch and strengthen your muscles, lubricate your joints, and promote mental concentration. This practice will focus on alignment and form tailored to individual abilities and done while seated or standing next to a chair. It will be each Wednesday from 7-8 p.m. in the Grace Gathering Room.
