When in Need of Grief Support/WINGS is a mutual help grief support group which meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at 2 PM at Grace UMC. On the 3rd Tuesday, members gather at a pre-selected restaurant determined by the group, and share lunch and conversation. One does not have to be a member of the church in order to attend – all who are grieving a loss are welcome. The group is facilitated by staff from Hospice of Olathe Health and is not a “therapy” group, but rather one in which bereavement is viewed as a journey unique to each individual, yet common issues and ways of healing are understood, respected and upheld. For more information contact Carolyn Seger, LMSW, Bereavement Coordinator with Hospice of Olathe Health, at 913-393-8276.
