As we prepare for Christmas and for a new year, I wanted to share with you great news about the launch of Common Grace. As you probably know by now, we officially launched on November 11.
Pastor Nanette brought us greeting that day and we had a full house of many Grace folks and many new people! There was a great energy in the room, as there has been from the first preview service, In fact, the Great Plains Conference Director of New Church Development said it was the best launch Sunday for a new worshipping community that he had seen!
We are now gathering each week at the Ball Conference Center at 10:45 AM. If you haven’t had the opportunity to join us, I hope you’ll drop by on a Sunday morning soon. We are so blessed to be meeting in this place where we can help people to experience God’s love and in new and exciting ways. I think you’ll find worship at Common Grace to be a great opportunity to celebrate that and all that God is doing in our church!
In closing, I want to offer a reminder that Common Grace has been, from the beginning, on a mission to see people who are disengaged from the faith community become invested and involved in the life of the church again. We have seen that happening already! If there are people in your life that need to experience church in a new way or could benefit from a fresh start, would you share with them about Common Grace? This time of year is the perfect opportunity to invite people to church- more people will walk through the doors of the church in December than almost any other time of the year. Perhaps you could even promise to join them for the first week or two – remember how nerve-wracking it can be to join a new community on your own! Your invitation can help make those steps easier and make their experience more meaningful!
